Long time, no post. Hi Wild, Diana, everyone.... Life has been completely chaotic for me in the last 6 months or so since I've posted last. I think it's been closer to 8 months. News : We're having a baby, number 3, in December. Suprise to us! lol. I've managed to get all but $2000 paid off our cc, the store card is at zero and the cap one card is at zero. We use them occasionally and pay them entirely off each month. I like to get the 10% off coupons every now and then, so it's actually to my advantage to use them every 3 months or so. Our ficos are up... I'm waiting for a revised credit report from the big three to see exactly where we're at. We hope to get it up to 700 or so and buy a house in May of 2004. So I've been having fun looking at houses for sale on That's my news. It's been empowering learning to get out of debt and having my own cash to play with when we have a good month. Also, learning to fix my own credit, stand up for my rights, learn how to send certified letters and force companies to do the right thing has been incredibly empowering and just plain great. To all the newbies, learn and learn and learn... ask questions, stand up for yourself, don't be intimidated by rude cc customer no service people, and keep working at it. It will happen. I have come a long way and I have a long way to go, but my dreams are more within reach now than when I didn't want to answer my phone for fear of cc people calling!! - Jade4
