Hi! Here's what works for me:

Caffeine: If you drink coffee etc. regularly, try weaning yourself off to see if that helps. But do it gradually; cold turkey invokes a 3-day migraine. Coffee plus hormones were my triggers, and without the coffee I've done pretty well.

Nutrasweet can be a trigger, too.

Regular sleep patterns: I used to get weekend migraines when I slept later than usual. I thought of that when you said you had a bad one on New Year's Day.

Finally, I've heard that sometimes after menopause the migraines are much less bothersome. I'll let you know in a couple of years if that's true!
