I have spoken to a guy from go-gecko. I have been told that the software costs almost 7k, plus ~$30/month for updating quotes in the software. The deal that I have been offered is that I pay 4k upfront, then start with 1-5k of seed money and just by using the software, if the portfolio reaches 30k in one year, I pay another 3k. It seems like a good deal on paper, I am pretty sure that if one starts with a modest portfolio, then trading costs will form a big part of the investment, making it difficult to realize big gains. Also if such big gains are possible, what are they doing selling a 7k software when they could virtually be minting money off the market! I would love to hear what you guys think about this.
