Hi - I quit a long time ago. (According to Silk Quit I've saved about $24,000!) But every so often I check in here just to look around and remind myself how much I accomplished -- to "keep the memory green."

Please let me caution you about ever feeling as if you are out of the woods. Tobacco is an insidious and dangerous substance and can sneak back into the recesses of your mind without warning.

I still, after more than 14 years, consider myself a recovering smoker. And about 3 months ago I recognized a moment when I could have picked up a cigarette (I remember than particular feeling in the back of my throat which signaled "time for a cigarette").

I congratulate you for your patience and fortitude and for giving yourself this wonderful gift. But the price of liberty is eternal vigilence!
