Hi icesweeper,

Suggest you go the the Etrade website and look for some IRA -> Roth IRA conversion forms. If that doesn't answer you question on partial conversion, email or talk with an account rep at Etrade. I have just converted our IRAs to Roths and the forms that my brokers provided (via downloads) allowed partial conversions. We have 3 brokers and one of the brokers required we setup new IRAs, even though we were doing an "in-house” conversion.

You will need to get the forms to your broker quickly because you are running out of year.

Good luck,

Ed
