Hi Ray,

Some clarity;
...they are easy to get a loan for, and hence won't pay large fees, which means the L.O. won't be making a great sum of money.
Loan Officers are no longer allowed to charge higher, nor lower, fees on any cased to any borrower (not even a return 'slam dunk' client that they've already done all the heavy lifting on previously.) Any variance in fees is considered "unfair discrimination" anymore.

I guarantee that none of the L.O.'s of my last dozen mortgages (new & refi) made much money off of me.
The government, in its infinite wisdom (far greater than yours <snark>) has removed your negotiating power forevermore (or at least until systemic financial collapse or regime revolution wipes out the oppression.)
