Hi TMF Cogitarius,

Just wanted to pick your brain on one aspect of Nike, and that is its exec compensation.

As you no doubt may have learned, in July 2012, Nike's board increased Parker's salary from $11M to $35.2M. A big chunk of this is restricted stock units worth $20M, which don't vest until after 5 years, and are meant to keep him with the company. In addition, he was given an extra $4M bonus.

I'm wondering what's the best way to interpret this huge increase. Namely,
is it justified?
