Hi wpr101,

I am *not* an expert of any kind, but I wonder if having 25% of your portfolio in emerging markets is is wise. Emerging markets funds are definitely high risk, but they're not really high return over the long run (short periods of great run-ups, yes; high long-term returns, no).

I think small caps tend to have a better risk/return profile - in that they are higher risk than large caps, but also have a history of higher returns over the long haul.

Please keep in mind that my advice is worth exactly as much as you paid for it! I'd be interested to hear what other posters think - there are a lot of very knowledgeable people here.
