His company is NOT very timely about reimbursements so we lose interest out of our savings and credit access to our own personal savings whenever he has to travel.

My employer is sometimes incredibly slow about reimbursements on the mandatory travel cards. They have either negotiated with the CC co. to remove interest (yes several times!) or had me submit add'l expense report claims for the interest (which has always been paid).

They insisted that they did not guarantee the card so, per AJ's respnonse, I assume that they provided my SS to first one bank, then another when they switched CC companies. My employer has had a series of losses of employee data including one where name, SS and bank routing info of tens of thousands of us. After early stonewalling they finally admitted error and provided three years "triple credit" monitoring to protect employee personal info which is precious to them. whoopee.

The good news is that I haven't seen this card's "debt" show on my report (my personal useage is low enough that it would show). The bad news is they got greedy about the CC kickback and tried to ban cash advances. This bombed out with int'l travel and in domestic cases where plastic is no good (including company cafeterias at other sites!) so slack is gradually being cut.
