His conclusions about what is a safe withdrawal rate are significantly higher than recommended by respected financial advisors. Please go back through the old postings to read the discussions about his prior posts and verify what is being recommended before deciding to use what could be a very risky strategy.I would add that many of us have pointed out numerous errors in JWR's work. Not once has he acknowledged an error; not once has he corrected his mistakes or horrendous assumptions. Instead, he has insulted anyone that questions his work -- including those that have done far more advanced work -- as incapable of understanding what he is doing.I would also point out that JWR uses a dramatically different definition of the term "Safe Withdrawal Rate" (SWR) from everyone else on the planet. In his mind, an SWR is something that you start with but might have to cut IN HALF in the worst case; to everyone else, an SWR is a rate that NEVER has to be reduced.Acme(Who fears that there are people that will not catch JWR's numerous errors and will follow his advice.)
