I was extremely saddened to hear that the Longfellow Park Chapel in Cambridge, MA was gutted by fire this past Sunday. The building was occupied for a broadcast of regional conference.

The Longfellow Park Chapel was the oldest in New England. It is in that building that I first attended a meeting of the church. I was baptized in that ward. I was ordained a deacon, teacher, priest and elder in that ward. I gave my first talk in that building (I still remember that talk) and accepted my first calling in that ward.

The building was host for the wards that served the students of Harvard, MIT, Boston University and the other universities and colleges in and around Boston. It was a beautiful building. I'm sorry to hear that it no longer exists. I hope that rebuild it with something equally as pretty.

Here is a link to some pictures taken by one of the members that was there that morning.
