HMA I would prefer a secular state as well. But all things considered, Israel is a model country compared to the rest opt the Middle East, and certainly can be viewed as mostly secular. "Mostly secular" but ALWAYS A JEWISH STATE.What if Israel were to incorporate the conquered territories (like any other nation) and ultimately provide political rights to all of the residents (like most other nations in history). Well then the Palestinians might be in the majority and then ISRAEL WOULD NOT BE A JEWISH STATE.Ergo, Israel CANNOT EVER provide political rights to the conquered persons. If you think the Palestinians are angry now after 45 years of imprisonment and subjugation, try 100 years.Secular democracy is the only viable and just national model.Peter
