Hopefully this card offer will still be effect next year and hopefully whatever college my daughter goes to will accept credit cards without charging a fee. I actually use my AMEX Blue to charge tuition for DS. It puts me in the top tier right away, so I end up getting 5% on groceries, gas, and drug stores, and 1% on everything else practically right from the beginning of my year, so maybe this is also an option for you.Do remember to ask every time as the schools do change their policies. In my case, if I choose to pay DS's tuition via the school's 3rd party payment processor, they charge 2% to use a credit card. But if I just call the school's Finance office and pay them directly, there is no fee, so be sure to ask about that as well. Now, if only I could get the same deal with DD's tuition, but they always charge 2% so I just write a check for that one.
