horsegoer asks,

Me and my wife have just been putting money in a Roth IRA and a I dy investment account but I don't really know what I'm investing in over the last several years. I mean I we have SPY,QQQ and a few individual stocks. I just randomly choose... I know very bad idea. I really want to have someone else do the work and provide advice but I want someone reputable. Any suggestions? Thanks

Adviser fees reduce your investment returns. Here's a classic thread on the issue from a few years ago.

Here are a few low-cost portfolios you can use.

If you decide that holding a couple of index funds is beyond what you can handle on your own, I'd hire an adviser that charges an hourly rate. It shouldn't take more than an hour or two to put together a portfolio of index funds and then rebalance them once a year. I'd never let an adviser take a percent of assets fee.
