How are you doing on your organization projects?

I'm doing well. Our taxes (federal and state) are done, as well as those for our 3 children -- plus FAFSA's for 2 of our kids who are in college.

We have bookshelves covering one wall in our family room and going up to the height of our 12 ft. cathedral ceiling. They looked so messy and books were arranged sort of haphazard. I spent 2 days re-arranging books by subject and alphabetizing by author. I also de-cluttered and boxed up books I no longer want -- and cleaned up the decorative items that mean alot to us (things from my French Grandma, etc). Now when I look at the bookshelves, they give me alot of pleasure.

My current project is working on my recipes and organizing those. I decided to get a 4 X 6 recipe box and only include the recipes I really use and those my family like. I had done much of this last year, so it has been fairly easy.

I continually work on making my cleaning easier with using products that are environmentally safe. I find that some stuff that I've tried really doesn't do a good job of cleaning, so I have to find a balance.

The zones (from FlyLady) that I started last year have made a huge difference to how our house now looks. I also use them to de-clutter.

The biggest change is that my husband has finally gotten on the band-wagon and is going through his shop and re-organizing. You'd have to see his shop to realize how big of a deal this actually is! :o)
