How do you compare 6.5% yield on treasury bills, bonds, and notes to 10% on JC Penny? Plus, I can liquidate anytime. The only reason JC Penny is paying you 10% is because they are telling you they are "not" a quality bond, they had to offer a higher rate of return to attract investors.
