How do you plan to cover the next 20+ years of medical expenses for the four of you before the toddler/kids get their own policies, and/or you qualify for whatever government senior insurance that's in place when you hit 67?

A high deductible policy was quoted at $192/month for a family of 4 at blue cross California (my current provider). $10k max/year out of pocket for whole family, or just $5k/member.

If a child gets sick, worst case chronic illness, I would head back to work.
