A news report today said that the average consumer will take about six months to pay off the credit cards they're using for this year's holiday shopping. I think that's very troubling, though not surprising. I can't imagine spending on gifts and then having to face the next 1/2 year to pay for them (not to mention all the mounting interest).

In my case, the bills are being paid in full as they come in, so I won't be facing what this report says. How long does everyone here think it'll take them?

Have you prepared for this year's shopping? Will you be facing many months of bills till you break even? Is this year better for you than in the past?
