I am looking for disability insurance. I have one quote for $1300 a month coverage for a cost of $56/month. I have another quote for $2950/month coverage for $140/month.

$1300 is only about 30% of my current salary. $2950 is around 70%. I've read I should get as much long-term coverage as I can, but I hate spending all that money on something I may never need. I will probably not be able to save as much money as I have been. I do have short-term disability insurance (two years coverage). Any advice?
