I have appreciated reading the articles by Mr. Braze on social security. My question deals with understanding how benefits are determined. I am employed by my own small corporation. How can I determine if I should be taking a larger salary than I currently am instead of leaving money in the business. The money is profit but I have been borrowing from the business instead of taking salary because the income taxes are lower this way. I want to know how social security benefits are determined to learn if I should be incresing my salary in order to increase my SS benefits.
