I am currently putting in my max allowable into my roth ira account and I see some opportunities that I would love to have jumped on (buying Ford at 1.99 etc.) but the thing is all my IRA's money are tied up. With the economy;s downturn most of my ira investments are losing money so obviously I can't sell those to free up some money. I do have some investments that are making money but a couple are breaking even (omniture, schwabb etc.). So my question for you guys is this - if i see a stock i really think i should jump on and i only have my ira money to play around with, how do i free up the money? Do i sell stocks that have ~0% gain or what?thank you,
