Hugh Acheson is Athens' very own Top Chef

<snip--this is the part I really like!)
Acheson's charity of choice is one that's familiar to Athens: Wholesome Wave Foundation, a nationwide program that champions local, fresh food. Thanks to a $10,000 grant from Wholesome Wave, the Athens Farmers Market was able to begin accepting EBT cards, or food stamps, last year.

The Wholesome Wave program doubles any EBT card user's money. The program assures that people who have low incomes can shop for affordable, locally grown food, and the farmers still are paid what the food they raised is worth.
