Ford finally got to the 60,000 hybrid car mark during the last quarter of 2008. So beginning April 1, 2009 (yes, a couple of weeks ago), the credit for buying a hybrid Ford will start phasing out.

You'll get 1/2 the credit for purchases from 4/1/09 through 9/30/09, then 25% of the credit for purchases from 10/1/09 through 3/31/10. Starting 4/1/10, there will be no credit for Ford (including Mercury and Lincoln) hybrid cars.
