Note: The only numbers in the article are the ones they don't address. To wit:

Annual family income: $21,700
Money the family spent: $38,200
New debt on the credit card: $16,500
Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
Budget cuts so far: $38.50

The so-called 'article' goes on to spin all manner of stories about how we need to keep spending, and even spend more. Of course, those with common sense understand that no stories will help us when we can't afford the debt service and become Greece.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad that so many people believe in this pap that you can spend your way to prosperity.
