I agree. And, as the former CEO of my family's civil engineering firm, It was nice to see engineering get top billing over architecture for a change.

I find it interesting that so many of these shows seem to forget that at one time, the engineers and the architects were one and the same - and that artists (sculpting and painting) were actually offshoots of engineering. The artists started as engineers.

Because the architect's work is always visible, the engineering aspects of planning and construction usually recieve short shrift from the client. To emphasize this point we would often say, "I wonder how nice that building would look if all the toilets backed up?"

Or if the walls fell down.
