I agree that it's right to pay your bills. But that isn't what I was reacting to. I was reacting to your statements about how debt collection works and your calling people liars (excuse me, misrepresenters) when they had an unpleasant experience with a debt collector.

I know right and wrong. I also know how to stay with the point when I am debating, rather than duck and switch. Especially when my blanket statements are posted in a public forum.

I repeat - you are not a global expert on debt collection practices. AFAIK, not one of the folks who have bad stories about collectors have accused you personally of being the perpetrator. Do you claim omniscience? If not, accept the simple fact that you don't know what actually happened. And if you want to be a respected member of this forum, you need to stop saying that anyone who claims to have had a bad experience with a collector is a liar and/or scheming slimeball.
