I agree. The indications were so positive, everything in place, nothing but optimism exuding from the PR. Then "oops". Were Phase II trials that poorly designed? I work in a hospital setting and could easily appreciate the enormous potential of this approach.

Clearly you are right that there were few if any investors anticipating this. How much positive expectation was already built into the stock price? Oh, about 300-400%

I have owned Nambi in my IRA for a few years. It is now close to my cost. I have been doing much better with this stock, OraSure Technologies (OSUR), that I bought between $5 and $6 with one small, 1,000 share add-on purchase at $7.

I first noticed the company when they announced that the FDA approved their Oral HIV test in June 2004. The stock had a spike-up in June 2004 with the announcement, but traded in the five to six range for a long time. I did buy an additional 1,000 shares to round-out a position at $7 in my IRA. I expect to hold the stock for my normal three to five years - maybe longer. I still own all of the ConAgra that I bought in October 1977. Well, maybe not all of it since I usually sell 1/4th of my position after a four-bagger, and let the free stock ride.

That is what I did with the Martha Stewart that I bought at $8. I sold 1,000 shares at 35 1/4 and kept the rest.
