I already said that I likely don't have sufficient funds outside of my retirement accounts to completely pay off my CC debt. Then whether you feel you're "struggling" might depend on the day and possibly temporary circumstances. If you feel fairly secure in your job today, you might not feel you're struggling because you assume you'll have an income stream to pay off the debt.If tomorrow both you and your wife have strokes that make you unable to work, you find out any disability coverage wasn't worth the paper it was written on, and you find out your child needs an organ transplant - you might feel differently about that credit card debt.
