I also have shares of BPY from that initial BAM investment (unfortunately these shares are behind to the market).


I think BPY would be like a coiled spring. BPY would already have a 6% yield and I think among the things holding BPY back would be the market's distaste for yield plays in a era of rising interest rates but eventually these type of things will turn around and as long as BPY keeps performing and I expect any future price appreciation to be rapid and take many people by surprise.

I think Bruce Flatt once mentioned that BAM considers BPY undervalued and if it should remain that way, it has been mentioned in the past that the management plans to do things to make sure that the market recognizes it's value.....I believe converting into a REIT was even mentioned.
