I finally stopped worrying about the economy and decided that we are all in the same boat. My house is paid for, I have modest retirement investments, no debt, and I had a small lump of cash. I started slowly with a Janus Olympus mutual fund (wow->30% return), found the Motley Fool, learned a lot, and took the plunge. I bought CSCO and INTC. I am having a lot of fun and making a lot of money....in nine months I have made 42% return. I realize this could go up or down. Just wanted to say - GO FOR IT newbies!!
