I am also a voracious reader, I read a lot of the articles that get posted and have been doing so since I joined here.

You may not know it now but what you said secures your future. Sure, if you want to make God laugh tell him your plans yet if your plan is to always learn then God smiles on you..

The more one learns the less one knows. That’s because learning opens up areas that are new. When I started my boat company six years ago I knew the business of business yet precious little about the mechanics of boats beyond that of owning one. Now I know more and, when discussing ‘stuff’ with a customer, I can give advice six years ago I couldn’t. To me that’s a gain I wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. In the grand scheme of things knowing what propeller pitch is correct isn’t earth changing yet knowing and imparting that knowing gives me great satisfaction.

I would be willing to be there isn’t a poster on this board who isn’t a reader. When you say you’re a voracious reader, you’re in good company.

So, where are you located? I’m in White Rock.
