I am becoming more and more fond of going over the fiscal cliff. As I see it, the biggest threat to the US is that we never really do anything. I think this is one of those rare moments when inaction and gridlock will produce a good effect (serious deficit reduction).Yes, we will probably go into a recession in the short run. But the logjam will have been dynamited and our political minds will be freed up.I'll join the crowd. There may be the added benefit of the voters finally throwing out the hard liners (left and right) who refused to take action in the next elections.People rarely change without a crisis. Better now than a couple of months later when threats to shut down the government over the debt limit are used as a bargaining chip.
