I am interested in this as a possible investment in my IRA and a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that I manage.

I read the prospectus and called the fund managers and found that Unrelated Business Income is dealt with by the fund, so the 1099 that comes to shareholders has no problem with UBI. So this is a good way for IRAs and tax-exempts to hold MLPs.

Of course the downside is the fee charged by the funds which is in the 1% to 1.35% range.

Two of these funds pay quarterly dividends and one pays monthly.
