I am not forecasting any such thing. That idea did make for good B movies a few years ago. Even CNBC was making similar comments a few years ago about Japan and the oil rich countries (which may have fueled the movie makers). CNBC's comments were on the turmoil such activity would have on the markets that handle such transactions.

My point was that the Chinese are NOT the only foreign group to hold large amounts of Treasuries and USD. With the USD on the decline, and Treasuries paying so low, there could be a point when it does not make economic sense to hold USD denominated securities if you reside outside the USA.
