The law is clear, plain and simple. When you sign your name, you promise to pay. It all comes down to what your WORD is worth.

I pay my bills. On 2 occasions in my life, I have been called over accounts that were very small and indeed WRONG.

I simply said, the account is not mine and please do not contact me again. That was that. Very simple really.

Most every collector has to know the FDCPA before they get on the phones. Its really not hard to abide by. Most do.
