I am planning to spend 2003 sugar free.

Rebecca, you may be sugar free, but you're just as sweet as ever!

The bad news here is that my DH (who does all my shopping, lucky me) had a case of nostalgia, and shopped for New Years Eve like we were having one of those parties we used to host years ago. He loaded up on deli: meats, cheeses, chips, cole slaw and potato salad. There's just three of us: hubby, myself and our son, who gew up but never left home.

OK, I didn't do too bad on the lunchmeat and cheese, but I ODd on nuts (pistachios, etc.) and cole slaw. The good news is that the cole slaw is pretty dry, so not too many calories. The bad news is I ate almost all of a two-pound container and am not too pleasant to be in the same room with.

Is New Years day all about damage control? Are we all sitting in our houses surrounded by sweets and meats?

I never thought I'd say this: I can't wait to go back to work tomorrow! What a sick twisted thought that is!

Happy new year hugs to all.
