I am replacing the entire stove with a self-cleaning this summer.

One caveat: I have a self-cleaning oven and I love it. However, because the temps get so high, I have heard that the fumes coming from the oven during the cleaning cycle are dangerous to small pets! And, if the fumes are that dangerous, think what it might be doing to our lungs!

I always wait until spring and summer to clean my oven, and then only with all the windows in the kitchen open, and a fan blowing.

Andrea

It can't be much worse than the fumes from setting the stove on fire now and again.
