I am setting up a will & related documents and would like to make formal provisions for my dog "Buddy" (name changed so I don't embarrass him too much). Since Buddy is pushing 15 (with some complicated medical issues) this will likely not be put into use, but I'd like to just make sure.



yes. two things in a way

1) "The Cat goes to B. and $15,895 to help defray the costs" (and yes, i did ask B if she'd take care of my girl ...did not tell her there's money involved.

but also
local SPCA has a program, where they ask a lot of questions and 'promise' to try to find someone who'll adopt and carry on (e.g., indoors ONLY; favorite food, ... and we're set up with that.
