I apologize for that word but I stick to my thoughts. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to get ahead in the United States unless you have something going for you. I am intelligent, college educated, and I am in deep debt. I do not have a spending problem, drive an old car, cannot stay employed in IT through the fault of economy, I'm an excellent employee, have references to prove it. Had to pay for living expenses and medical on my credit cards for 3 years on and off and now cannot get ahead. I work hard, my husband works hard, I do NOT enjoy life anymore. I'm working and worrying so hard and fast my head spins. I got on this board hoping to get some ideas for saving money but learned that it is impossible unless some sort of break comes your way. Sorry if that offends you but it's true in my book.

I am going back to denial and debt now. It is useless to try and dig out. I'm happy some can do it but I'm at the end of my rope.
