I assume you are referring to the U.S. Savings Bonds, series I.

Definitive information about these bonds is available at www.savingsbonds.gov

1. Savings bonds, including I-bonds, can only be held by individuals.
2. The best time to purchase them is near the end of the month, as you will be deemed to have purchased them at the beginning of the month.

Savings bonds are sold continually at most banks, as well as online at www.savingsbonds.gov
