I can not think of any teams willing to stretch the salary boundries this summer with the labor dispute coming to a head in just a few months. Even restricted free agents such as the Ilya Kovalchuk who have the potential to command top dollar are getting only obligatory pro-facta offers while the Thrashers wait to see where the pieces fall before negotiating what will undoubtably be a nice compensation package for the young Russian.
