There was a young, up and coming student preacher who still lived at his daddy's farm. One day as he was meandering around on a rainy day, he stopped and pondered about the old outhouse. It was worn and leaning toward the creek a few feet away. He thought to himself, "I'll just tear this one down and build a new one." He decided that the easiest way to tear the old thing down would be to pry upon
the end opposite the leaning side . He was right! The old outhouse fell over with just a little struggle. However, as the rain was pouring down harder and the creek was rising higher, there was little that the young man could do as the outhouse slipped down the bank and into raging creek . With the old building washing away and out of sight, he thought that this method of disposal might not turn out to be such a bad one. The next day as he riding to town with his father in the old hay truck, his dad asked him what happened to the old outhouse. The young lad pondered about with some worry, and finally said, "Daddy, I remember when George Washington told the truth about chopping down a cherry tree. I don't recall anything about his daddy getting mad. The young man's dad snapped back quickly, "George Washington's dad was not in that cherry tree."
