I can't imagine what the procedure would have felt like if I hadn't taken those meds, although if I ever have to go through it again, I'm taking Vicodin and alcohol, dammit.

One but not the other might be more judicious. ;-)

I'm sorry you had such an awful time with it, and sorry you might have to do it again. I'd push my doctor for the prescription painkiller, if I were you.
