I could be perfectly healthy, but could fall down the stairs and break my leg, burn myself cooking, or be attacked in my back yard by a pack of rabid weasels. In all cases, I would need coverage and it would NOT have to do with my existing good health condition.

This is exactly the problem. There is no reason you "would need coverage" for any of those things.

That's like buying insurance for your DVR from Best Buy. You can afford to replace it, so you don't need insurance. It's a rip off, like the extended warranty at the dealership.
