I did quite a lot of work with a large group of US Fed Gov't employees in Europe (both US expats and citizens of the host country who the US employed). One thing I noticed about the USians was that the ones who lived overseas were uniformly a little nutty. I don't know whether the nuttiness or the expat status came first, but since then I've noticed it repeatedly in expat communities.

my vote is that the Fed Government Employee is the common denominator in the nuttiness.
YMMV (or is that YkmMV?)

peace & nuts
t

(i know - pot kettle and all that)
