I did this about two years ago when the 100k bonus was much easier to get. The prior post was correct that they really add on the fees and when I went to Europe it cost me about $550 in fees on each ticket. That was still less than half what the ticket cost but it was still a good deal. There was also about a $95 annual fee.

As I recall their car does have the chip in it so you can do chip an pin transactions in Europe.

There is a lot of infomation over on Flyer Talk about this and as I recall instead of using the miles to go to Europe it would have been better to have used it on one of their partners for domestic travel because they do not charge so many fees.
