I didn't get why they're moving time along so quickly. I think they said 3 months early on in the show. But I'm wondering if Joe knows about Brenda sleeping with Nate. I think he's going to find that out and there will be trouble.

I was wondering about this also, but I think its due to continuity issues. Last week was really a follow-up to the previous season finale. I noticed that they took extra effort to mention Maya but not show her. If she was in the scene, she was completely swaddled up. I would imagine it was very noticable how much she grew from one episode to the next.

Also, most new seasons start some time after the previous season. Since the first episode was like a follow-up to the previous seasons finale, this episode is more like the season premier (at least in my mind).
