I don't doubt that there was a big difference in reimbursements in the past, but as they say, there's a new Sheriff in town.

Many Tea-Baggers seem to have missed this - perhaps they didn't read the bill? <LOL>

Apparently there are 13,000 pages of regulation with more generating daily.

In any case, more & more doctors are not accepting medicare patients. And thus likely aren't interested in any medicaid patients either.

I experienced that when I moved my uncle down to New Mexico in 2009. I had a list of 6 primary care doctors I had vetted through recommendations of friends. 3 no longer accepted medicare patients. The others had long wait periods for an initial office visit. I took the shortest wait. 3 month. He is a good thorough doctor though. he saw my uncle through his finial days in 2011.
