I don't have any advice as far as the car goes.... but I have to say that your income/expenses look a little bare, or at least, your expenses do.

One thing that struck me is that you don't list groceries as an expense. I hope you're eating.

The other thing that struck me is that you mention 'gas' at $60/month. I'm guessing that's your fuel oil for your house and not gas for your (current) car. If so, make sure you're including gas for your car in your 'expenses'.

I only mention it because leaving off stuff like that sorta skews the budget and you may be working with less money than you realized when it comes time to make a $300 car payment.
