I don't know what the market is like in NY, but there is a shortage of speech therapist in school districts because they pay much less than private industry. You shouldn't have a problem finding a job, much less a part-time one. Ask the district if they have a therapist who is seeking part-time and try to job share with him or her. My experience in education leads me to say that their is always someone looking to work only part-time, but districts discourage this practice. Good luck.
